And This is What Happened

My husband and I moved back to the US from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, about a year ago, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our television service in Puerto Vallarta provided us with between 2500 and 4000 channels about 75% of the time. Our television viewing depended on the internet working, and sometimes it didn’t work, say if a dump truck went by or a tropical storm rolled in. But, I probably watch TV less often than the average American, and plenty of other diversions occupied my time in paradise, so I wasn’t that concerned with the interruptions in television service.

Choosing the Best Meat for Your Family and the Planet

Not that long ago, all meat qualified as organic. The family farmer raised his cattle on pesticide-free grass. And, of course, he certainly didn’t add hormones or additives to the cattle’s feed. Even animals given a name ended up slaughtered on the farm and ultimately on the dinner table of family and friends.

The term ‘organic meat’ wasn’t relevant until about 1960. Through the 1950s, factory and corporate farms didn’t exist, nor did the use of pesticides and additives. The cattle’s health and the handling of the slaughtering process determined the safety of the food consumed.

It’s difficult to go wrong when you give the gift of greenery. Plants represent life and growth, and if you put it in an attractive pot or container, it adds an artistic element.

The presence of plants makes us feel good. A study conducted in the United Kingdom shows that plants’ surroundings could make us physically and mentally healthier. Especially when we find ourselves cooped up in the winter months, plants may bring a sense of peace, thereby making us feel better.

Why plants make great gifts:

In addition to their beauty and overall good intentions, a gift of plants…

At home and in the classroom, kindergarten age children crave story time

According to experts, the sooner you start reading to your child, the better. Some, even suggest that reading to your baby while still in the womb brings with it bonding benefits. And, of course, reading to children at any age presents significant advantages from emotional support to building language skills and an interest in reading.

Children approaching or entering kindergarten represent literary sponges as an audience for a read aloud book. Starting at the age of approximately four, the comprehension skills of children improve greatly. …

We must exercise or move our bodies to stay healthy. Exercising appropriately for our fitness level and preparing for activity also make up essential components of physical health. Of course, we need to check with our doctor and know what stretches to do before starting a rigorous running program. But, staying hydrated represents one of the most critical factors in exercising safely.

What is dehydration?

The average adult human body ranges from 58 to 60 percent water. When we fall much below that level, we start to experience dehydration symptoms, ranging from annoying to dangerous. Signs of dehydration include:

• Bad breath

If avocados don’t represent a regular part of your diet, do whatever it takes to change that situation. You’ll recognize the avocado as a pulpy green fruit shaped like a pear. Depending on its level of ripeness, the skin varies from purple to dark green. You may hear it referred to as “alligator pear.”

The U.S. gets most of its avocados from Mexico, although some come from California.

Nutritional Make-up:

Many people think of the avocado as a vegetable because of its mild but unique test. But this power-packed source of nutrients falls under the nearly perfect fruit category.

Though we didn’t start using the term ‘call center’ until the 1990s, the call center began in the 1950s. The practice of sales and customer service call centers thrived in the 1990s as computers became part of the picture.

It appears that the call center industry will continue to grow. Globally, these centers brought in nearly 340 billion dollars in 2020. Analysts project by 2027 that number will grow to 496 billion.

People or employees account for the most important resource of a call center, but to measure as genuinely efficient, a call center must also incorporate the latest technology.

Our busy minds seldom get a break. If we’re not engaged in conversation, reading and studying, watching television, or dreaming, we’re undoubtedly talking to ourselves. The inner chatter may not present itself as audible, but it does go on in all of us.

So, if you find yourself chattering away to yourself or others, no, you’re not crazy; you’re experiencing your inner voice. But, unfortunately, your inner voice may represent a beneficial tool, and it may also cause disruption and problems with our confidence and productivity.

Your inner voice or self-talk does not represent your consciousness or your ability to…

The times we live in may represent the best era in history to enter this world as a female, but that doesn’t reflect all the work ahead of us in the battle for gender equality.

Though the United Nations declares that gender equality represents a fundamental human right, every nation’s equality gap remains prevalent. Of course, some countries more than others stand out when it comes to sexism and misogyny. Some of the worst violators of human rights and women’s rights, in particular, include the following:

  • Jordan
  • Siri Lanka
  • South Korea
  • Morocco
  • Egypt
  • Omar
  • India
  • Saudi Arabia

Trust me; You’ll Be Back for More.

It seems there are two types of people in the world, those who love cruising and those who just haven’t found the right cruise. If you fall into the category of loving cruising, you most likely enjoy the beauty and serenity of the seas, relaxing by the pool, curling up in a lounge chair with a good book, and all the various forms of dining and entertainment. But, if you stayed on the ship nonstop for seven days or more, you may start to go a little bit crazy.

Luckily, recreational cruises stop at ports of call along the way…
